International Women’s Day Exhibition IMAGES DE FEMMES Montreal, February 27, 2006 – The women artists of Mile End, in collaboration with the Mile End Library along with neighbourhood organizations and businesses, invite you to celebrate International Woman’s Day at the opening of the 13th edition of the collective exhibition : IMAGES DE FEMMES Saturday, March 4th, from 1pm to 4pm At the Mile End Library This event was created in 1994 to provide better visibility to women artists in the neighbourhood. This year, with 30 artists participating, the cultural diversity and dynamism of Mile End will be showcased. In addition to the main exhibition at the library, Mile End businesses will present participants artworks in their windows in order to bring their art into the everyday lives of neighbourhood residents. A group of artists will also exhibit at « La Maison de la Culture du Plateau Mont-Royal » (465 Mt-Royal East). During this event, the whole community unites to celebrate International Women’s Day !
